Fr German’s message
Happy new year 2013
At the beginning of this year, I would like
to wish you a happy year. May peace,
health and love accompany all of you and your loved ones throughout this year.
When we watch television, listen to the
radio, or follow international current events through the internet, the number
of armed conflicts that exist here and there in our planet, surprise us.
Through books and through persons that have
lived the war, we know about the horrors suffered by civilians and by the
military people that participate in a war.
Both world wars and the other conflicts our
Earth has lived through should be experience enough to urge us to do all that
is necessary to avoid, by all means, our entering an armed conflict.
In all wars, the persons that suffer are
innumerable, and no war has ever known a victor. Everybody loses.
Then, at the beginning of this year 2013, I
invite you to pray for all present wars to end and for those who govern us to
decide to make use of all means at their disposal to avoid entering new armed
conflicts.
Let us pray everyday for peace to reign in
all countries; above all, in those countries that have been at war for several
years.
Let us pray so that children throughout the
whole world can grow up in an environment of peace and trust and can have the
right to a normal childhood.
In this Year of Faith, we can get in the
habit of praying everyday as a family for peace in the world.
And let us not forget to build up peace in
our hearts, in our family, in our neighborhood, and in our community.
Men and women whose hearts are at peace with
God, themselves and others, always work for peace and are laborers of
reconciliation in their surroundings.
My wishes for this new year are that we all
be laborers of peace so that peace can reign around us and in our world
throughout this year.
Happy Year of Faith!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013!
