VACATION

Summer is a vacation time. There are families that take advantage of this time to return to their country of origin or to go another country or city. There are also families that cannot leave and who have to stay home all summer long.

Summer is a time of rest. We can take advantage of it by going to see a museum, watching a movie, going to a concert,… Many activities are offered everywhere in the cities in which we live.

Summer is a time for family. Schools are closed and parents are a little more available. Summer should be a time when parents become more available to share family moments with their children. Why not go and spend an afternoon at the beach or go on a walk in a park,… or just sit down in the living room to play together or watch a movie you can discuss later.

Summer is a difficult time for people in a hospital, in a convalescent home or alone in their homes. An act of mercy would be to go spend some time with somebody who is alone or suffering in a bed or who doesn’t have friends or family.

There are many things we can do during the summer.

For our parish, summer is a time for panning and reflection.

Next year we need to plan a little better so that children and young people that are doing catechism can be well prepared and can discover the joy of believing and the happiness of feeling like a member of the community. We need dynamic, available, and responsible catechists. The community of sisters that is with us works with me to instruct and accompany the catechists. We need parents who are committed to being with their children as they discover Jesus. Parents are responsible for their children’s participation in celebrations and in all the activities that the parish offers.  

We want to be a vibrant community, and that depends on each and every one of us.

You know that our community is not wealthy, and that each month we have to work hard to pay all our bills.

We need your commitment to the financial life of the parish. We do not receive any other aid. The insurance bills and all the electricity, gas, car payments,… are paid for by the generous gifts you bring to the parish. 

We would like to have another full-time employee to help administer and develop pastoral activities but at the moment we do not have the means to do that.

Summer is a time when you can think about the amount that you bring to the life of the community. Summer is a difficult time for the parish because there are many families that leave and forget that we still need to pay the same bills. The money we take in goes down quite a bit over the summer but the expenses remain the same. Please think about your participation when you do not come to mass.

We love our parish and we should feel responsible for its financial life.

LAS VACACIONES

El verano es un tiempo de vacaciones. Hay familias que aprovechan de este tiempo, para regresar a su país de origen, o para visitar otro país, o ciudad. También hay familias, que no pueden salir y están obligadas a permanecer en su casa todo el verano.

El verano es un tiempo de descanso. Podemos aprovechar para visitar un museo, ver una película, asistir a un concierto, … En todos los barrios de la ciudad hay diferentes actividades.

El verano es un tiempo para la familia. Las escuelas están cerradas y los padres de familia están un poco más disponibles. El verano debe ser un tiempo en el cual, los padres de familia se dan un tiempo para compartir con sus hijos, algunos momentos en familia. Por qué no ir una tarde a la playa, o a caminar en un parque,… o simplemente sentarse en la sala para jugar juntos, o ver una película sobre la cual puedan dialogar después.

El verano es un tiempo difícil para las personas que están en un hospital, en un hogar de ancianos, o  solas en su casa. Una obra de misericordia es pasar un momento con alguien que está solo, o que sufre en una cama, o que no tiene familia o amigos.

Hay muchas cosas que podemos hacer durante el verano.

Para nuestra parroquia el verano es un tiempo de organización y de reflexión.

El próximo año deberemos organizarnos un poco mejor, para que los niños y jóvenes del catecismo se preparen bien. Para que descubran la alegría de la fe y la felicidad de sentirse miembro de una comunidad. Necesitamos catequistas dinámicos, disponibles y responsables. La comunidad de hermanas que está con nosotros, trabaja conmigo, para formar y acompañar a los catequistas. Necesitamos padres de familia que se comprometan a acompañar a sus hijos, en el descubrimiento de Jesús. Los padres de familia son responsables de la participación de los niños y jóvenes, en las celebraciones y actividades que la parroquia propone.

Deseamos una comunidad viva y eso depende de ustedes.

Ustedes saben que no somos una comunidad rica, que todos los meses debemos hacer esfuerzos, para pagar todas las facturas.

Necesitamos su compromiso con la vida económica de la parroquia. No recibimos ninguna ayuda exterior. Las facturas, seguros y todos los gastos de electricidad, gas, carro,… son asumidos por los donativos  generosos, que ustedes hacen a la parroquia.

Quisiéramos tener otro empleado, que nos ayude a administrar y a desarrollar las actividades pastorales, pero no tenemos los medios económicos necesarios, por el momento.

El verano es un tiempo en el cual, ustedes pueden reflexionar en la suma que aportan a la vida de la comunidad. El verano es un tiempo difícil para la parroquia, porque muchas familias se van y olvidan que debemos seguir pagando las mismas facturas. Las entradas disminuyen bastante durante el verano, pero los gastos son siempre los mismos. Les agradecemos si piensan en su participación cuando no vienen a misa.

Todos amamos nuestra parroquia y debemos sentirnos responsables de su vida económica.
