Fr German’s message

Thank you to the volunteers.

 

On this Feast of Pentecost, in this week in which the Church reminds us that the Spirit of God came to earth to fill us with his blessings and gifts, I would like to say thanks to all the people who have understood that what they have received on God's behalf, must be put at the service of others.

I don’t have enough words to thank all the volunteers who work discreetly and very effectively in our community.

If our parish is still active and if our community survived this crisis that we are going through, it is thanks to all the volunteers and all the faithful who continued to support us.

I am not going to list all the activities that have been maintained thanks to the serious and faithful commitment of many volunteers. Only God knows the time and energy they have devoted to preserving the vitality of our parish. May God bless them for their generosity and solidarity.

Thanks to the catechists. Thanks to all the people who, Sunday to Sunday, arrive an hour earlier and leave an hour later so that we can celebrate Sunday Mass. I take this opportunity to say that we need even more volunteers to prepare the place before and to organize the material after Mass every Sunday and sometimes during the week for a wedding, a quinceañera or a funeral. All good wills are welcome.

When we will open the church (shortly) and when we will have Mass in each of the three languages ​​of our community (French, Spanish and English), we will need volunteers for each Mass. We have to strictly enforce all mandatory sanitary measures for gatherings of people, to protect our community.

Thank you to Angelica and the people who take care of the flowers. I really appreciate the decoration and beauty of the place in which we celebrate. Our church is always very clean, and beautifully decorated. This makes people feel welcome.

Thank you to all the musicians. Those who secured the celebrations during this difficult time and those who patiently await the reopening of the church. I know that this sacrifice, for both, has been difficult. Thank you for your understanding and solidarity.

I dream of seeing again the different groups and choirs that Sunday to Sunday came to help us pray with their musical talents. May the Lord bless their artistic abilities and may the joy of singing and praising God fill them with inner peace.

Thank you to all the people who never forgot to participate in the economic life of our community. May God reward their generosity.

Thank you to all those who pray for us in the silence of their home. Prayer is a very powerful means of supporting those in need.

Thank you to all those who, week after week, crown with flowers the statue of the Virgin that is at the door of the church. I often see cars that stop in front of her to pray. The beauty of this crowned statue is a source of peace, consolation and joy for many people who are in difficulty and who cannot enter the church because it is closed for the moment.

Thank you to all the people who I have not mentioned and who help to continue with our mission. God knows their heart and if I have forgotten to mention their name or their activity, the Lord does not forget them and always blesses them.

Thank you and welcome the Holy Spirit into your homes on this Feast of Pentecost.

Mensaje del P. Germán

Gracias a los voluntarios.

 

En esta Fiesta de Pentecostés, en esta semana en la cual la Iglesia nos recuerda, que el Espíritu de Dios vino a la Tierra para llenarnos de sus bendiciones y de sus dones, quisiera decir gracias, a todas las personas que han comprendido que lo que han recibido de parte de Dios, debe ponerse al servicio de los demás.

No tengo palabras suficientes, para agradecer a todos los voluntarios que trabajan discretamente y muy eficazmente, en nuestra comunidad.

Si nuestra parroquia está todavía en actividad y si nuestra comunidad sobrevivió a esta crisis que estamos atravesando, es gracias a todos los voluntarios y a todos los fieles que siguieron apoyándonos.

No voy a enumerar todas las actividades que se han mantenido, gracias al compromiso serio y fiel de muchos voluntarios. Solo Dios sabe el tiempo y la energía que han consagrado, para conservar la vitalidad de nuestra parroquia. Que Dios los bendiga por su generosidad y solidaridad.

Gracias a los catequistas. Gracias a todas las personas que domingo a domingo, llegan una hora antes y se van una hora después, para que podamos celebrar la Misa Dominical. Aprovecho para decir que necesitamos todavía más voluntarios, para preparar el lugar antes, para organizar el material después de la misa de todos los domingos y a veces durante la semana, para un matrimonio, una quinceañera o un funeral. Todas las buenas voluntades son bienvenidas.

Cuando abramos la iglesia (dentro de poco) y cuando tengamos una misa en cada uno de los tres idiomas de nuestra comunidad (francés, español e inglés), necesitaremos voluntarios para cada misa. Tendremos que hacer respetar estrictamente, todas las medidas sanitarias obligatorias durante las reuniones, para proteger a nuestra comunidad.

Gracias a Angelica y a las personas que se ocupan de las flores. Soy muy cuidadoso de la decoración y la belleza del lugar en el cual celebramos. Nuestra iglesia está siempre muy limpia y su decoración es muy hermosa. Eso hace parte de la acogida.

Gracias a todos los músicos. Los que aseguraron las celebraciones, durante este tiempo difícil y los que esperan pacientemente la reapertura de la iglesia. Yo sé que ese sacrificio, para unos y otros, ha sido difícil. Gracias por su comprensión y solidaridad.

Sueño con volver a ver, a los diferentes grupos y coros que domingo a domingo nos ayudan a orar con sus talentos musicales. Que el Señor bendiga sus capacidades artísticas, que la alegría de cantar y de alabar a Dios los llene de paz interior.

Gracias a todas las personas que nunca olvidaron, participar en la vida económica de nuestra comunidad. Que Dios recompense su generosidad.

Gracias a todos aquellos que en el silencio de su casa, oran por nosotros. La oración es un medio muy poderoso para apoyar a los que lo necesitan.

Gracias a todos los que semana a semana coronan con flores, la estatua de la virgen que se encuentra en la puerta de la iglesia. Frecuentemente, veo carros que se detienen frente a ella para orar. La belleza de esa estatua coronada es una fuente de paz, de consolación y de alegría, para mucha gente que está en dificultad y no puede entrar a la iglesia porque está cerrada, por el momento.

Gracias a todas las personas que no he mencionado, que ayudan a seguir con nuestra misión. Dios conoce su corazón y si he olvidado mencionar su nombre o su actividad, el Señor no los olvida y los bendice siempre.

Gracias y reciban en sus hogares al Espíritu Santo en esta fiesta de Pentecostés.
