Yard Sale on October 8^th 2017

For nine years, Saint Sebastian parish has organized yard sales. This year it will take place on October 8th from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

We know that the organization of this event requires a lot of time and energy. But we believe we need to have one every year because it allows parishioners to get to know one another. Every Sunday we cross each other's paths, but we do not get to know each other. We are part of the same community.  We should make the most of these occasions by meeting each other and discovering the diversity of our family.

This Sunday is a great opportunity to get to know members of other communities who, like you, pray, receive the Body and Blood of Christ, and are proud to belong to the Saint Sebastian community.

This Sunday we can easily get to know each other and at the same time we can participate in the financial life of our community.

In 2015 the year sale resulted in a profit of $4,691.80 for the parish. We would like the profit for this year to be the same or higher. It all depends on you.

We already have quite a few items for the yard sale and for the silent auction. You can still bring your donations to the parish office. We accept anything in good condition except clothing. Thank you for your help.

There will be Mexican, Colombian, and French food, and also food from other countries. We will propose you a cocktail that I will make myself. Plan on eating breakfast and luch here. While you're at it, invite some friends that do not usually attend Church. The yard sale is also a great chance to introduce others to the beauty, joy, and openness of our community.

The Saint Sebastian school will also have a booth to showcase its offerings as the only bilingual Catholic school (Spanish/English) in West LA. 

Many people have already offered to help us in selling items, setting up, and cleaning up.

We are counting on all of you to make this yard sale a parish event and an important moment in the life of our community.

Venta de Garaje del 8 de octubre 2017

Desde hace nueve años, la parroquia San Sebastián organiza una venta de garaje. Este año tendrá lugar el domingo 8 de octubre, de las 8am a las 2pm.

Sabemos que la organización de este evento exige mucha energía y tiempo. Pero creemos que es importante, organizar uno cada año porque el evento, permite a todos los fieles encontrarse. Todos los domingos nos reunimos, pero no convivimos. Formamos parte de la misma comunidad. Debemos aprovechar de estas ocasiones para conocernos y descubrir la diversidad de nuestra familia.

Aprovechemos de este domingo, para encontrarnos con los miembros de las otras comunidades que como usted, oran, reciben el Cuerpo y la Sangre de Cristo, y se sienten orgullosos de pertenecer a la comunidad de San Sebastián.

Este domingo podremos fácilmente, encontrarnos unos con otros.

Al mismo tiempo, podremos participar económicamente, en la vida de nuestra comunidad.

La venta de garaje del 2015 dejó un beneficio para la parroquia de $4. 691,80 Quisiéramos que este año el beneficio sea igual o superior. Todo depende de ustedes.

Ya tenemos bastantes objetos para la venta de garaje y la subasta. Todavía pueden seguir depositando sus donaciones, en la oficina de la parroquia. Aceptamos todo lo que esté en buenas condiciones, menos la ropa. Gracias por su ayuda.

Habrá comida mexicana, colombiana, francesa y de otros países. Estaremos proponiendo un cóctel que prepararé yo mismo. Haga ya sus planes para tomar su desayuno y su almuerzo aquí. Aproveche para invitar a sus amistades que no frecuentan la iglesia. La venta de garaje es también una oportunidad, para descubrir la belleza, la alegría y la apertura de nuestra comunidad.

La escuela San Sebastián tendrá también un puesto para darse a conocer y recordarles, que somos la única escuela católica bilingüe (Español/Inglés), en el occidente de Los Angeles.

Varias personas se han propuesto para ayudarnos en la venta, en la instalación y en la limpieza.
