After these months of suffering, anguish, uncertainty, and confinement, we finally arrive at the summer months, the vacation period, and the longest and brightest days of the year.

To take better advantage of this beautiful time that is coming, this Sunday's liturgy invites us to contemplate nature to always live with confidence and to commit ourselves to building a better world for all.

Contemplate nature to always live with confidence.

I invite you to take a moment every day to contemplate nature and discover in it the beauty, the presence, and the action of God.

Every day I would like to sing with this Sunday's psalm: "Lord it is good to give thanks to you."

I know that there is, especially in the social media, a lot of bad news, violence, and situations of suffering. We cannot deny reality. We cannot hide the evil that exists in our world.

But, when I observe the wonders that nature puts at our disposal, I am happy, I am filled with confidence, and I praise God for the beauty and joy that creation offers us every day.

That I sleep, that I work or that I rest, the birds sing around us; flowers adorn our surroundings and trees bear fruits for the good of all.

Creation is a marvel that should help us to live with confidence and that should invite us every day to thank God for all that he offers us for free.

 

Contemplating creation should also allow us to commit ourselves to building a better world for all.

I really like listening to the song of the birds. I have the impression that they know that I admire their concerts. In my garden there are always birds that come to sing when I am eating outside or when I leave the house to get some air. Big or small, black or of various colors, pretty or not very pretty, they are all different. But they all look very happy because they are free, everywhere they feel at home, and they have thousands of trees to make their nests. They are all God's creatures.

Contemplating nature helps us to commit ourselves to building a better world for all. Like the birds in the sky, all humans should be able to live happily in the world. We are intelligent and we have a conscience that animals do not have and that we should use to implement measures that allow all humans here and everywhere to live with dignity because we are all Children of God. All humans should have what they need to eat, to stay, to receive education and to access health regardless of their economic situation or their country of origin.

The mission of the Church is to help us live with confidence because she reminds us that the Spirit of God works in our humanity. The mission of the Church also consists of helping us to be responsible in building a better world because she reminds us that God put the world in our hands so that we could finish creation for the good of all.

11º Domingo del Tiempo de la Iglesia

1ª lectura: del libro del profeta Ezequiel 17,22-24

2ª lectura: 2ª carta de San Pablo a los Corintios 5,6-10

Evangelio: de San Marcos 4,26-34

Después de estos meses de sufrimiento, angustia, incertitud y confinamiento, llegamos al fin a los meses de verano, al periodo de vacaciones, a los días más largos e iluminados del año.

Para aprovechar mejor de este hermoso tiempo que llega, la Liturgia de este domingo, nos invita a contemplar la naturaleza, para vivir siempre con confianza y a comprometernos, en la construcción de un mundo mejor para todos.

Contemplar la naturaleza para vivir siempre con confianza.

Los invito a darse, todos los días, un momento para contemplar la naturaleza y descubrir la belleza, presencia y acción de Dios.

Todos los días quisiera cantar con el salmo de este domingo: “Que bueno es darte gracias, Señor”.

Yo sé que existen, sobre todo en los medios de comunicación social, muchas noticias malas, de violencia y de situaciones de sufrimiento. No podemos negar la realidad. No podemos esconder el mal que existe en nuestro mundo.

Pero, cuando observo las maravillas que la naturaleza pone a nuestra disposición, me alegro, me lleno de confianza y alabo a Dios por la belleza y la alegría que la creación nos propone todos los días.

Que yo duerma, trabaje o descanse, los pájaros cantan alrededor de nosotros; las flores adornan nuestro alrededor y los árboles producen frutos por el bien de todos.

La creación es una maravilla, que debe ayudarnos a vivir con confianza y debe invitarnos todos los días, a darle gracias a Dios por todo lo que nos ofrece gratuitamente.

 

Contemplar la creación debe permitirnos también comprometernos, en la construcción de un mundo mejor para todos.

Me gusta mucho escuchar el canto de los pájaros. Tengo la impresión de que ellos saben que yo admiro sus conciertos. En mi jardín siempre hay pájaros que vienen a cantar, cuando estoy comiendo al exterior o que salgo de casa, para tomar un poco de aire. Grandes o pequeños, negros o de colores variados, bonitos o no muy bonitos, todos son diferentes. Pero todos se ven muy felices porque son libres, en todas partes se sienten como en su casa y poseen miles de árboles para hacer sus nidos. Todos son creaturas de Dios.

Contemplar la naturaleza, nos ayuda a comprometernos en la construcción de un mundo mejor para todos. Como los pájaros del cielo, todos los humanos deberíamos poder vivir felices en el mundo. Somos inteligentes y tenemos una conciencia que los animales no tienen y que deberíamos utilizar para poner en obra medidas que permitan a todos los humanos de aquí y de todas partes, vivir dignamente porque todos somos Hijos de Dios. Todos los seres humanos deberían tener lo necesario para comer, para alojarse, para recibir educación y para acceder a la salud, sin contar con su situación económica o su país de origen.

La misión de la Iglesia es de ayudarnos a vivir con confianza porque ella nos recuerda, que el Espíritu de Dios actúa en nuestra humanidad. La misión de la Iglesia también consiste en ayudarnos a ser responsables en la construcción de un mundo mejor porque nos recuerda, que Dios puso el mundo en nuestras manos para que termináramos la creación para el bien de todos.
