The liturgy of this Sunday can be summed up in one sentence: "Christ came to save all of humankind."

The message and the testimony of the life of Christ are understandable for all men and women of good will.

The prophet Isaiah spoke to his people about Christ: “Observe what is right, do what is just; for my salvation is about to come, my justice, about to be revealed.”

Christ came to our world to reveal the image of God and that image is manifest in the respect of and practice of justice.

Salvation of humankind comes through respect for all human life from conception to death. The salvation of humankind lies in the practice of justice in all situations and in all corners of the world.

 We Christians, the baptized, have received the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, to do justice and to proclaim to everyone that happiness, peace and salvation is possible if we come together to work for justice and respect for all.

The Spirit of God who dwells in our hearts and enlightens our intelligence gives us the strength to fight against all injustices and oppressions and against any situation of humiliation or disrespect to others.

Sometimes we confuse the message of Christ and, then, our brothers and sisters can’t understand the message of the Church because we forget to talk about justice and respect for others.

Injustice is the disease that destroys our humanity and the evil that ruins many families, peoples and nations.

If we look closely at the divisions in our families, the conflicts between peoples, and the wars between nations, we will discover that at their source there is some kind of injustice or lack of respect for the rights of others.

Our families, our communities, our towns, our nations, our humanity, need reconciliation, forgiveness, and peace. We will not achieve them unless we work with all men and women of good will to build a world where justice is our common flag.

Let’s pray in the Eucharist so that all Christians understand that salvation through Christ and the awaited Kingdom of God will be manifest when we all commit to respect others and let justice reign among us.

Let us be enlightened by the Word of God and take strength at the Eucharistic table in order to eradicate every injustice around us.

Let's invite all our friends and acquaintances, believers or not, to work for justice in our world. In that way, we will all be disciples of Christ and workers of peace and fraternity.

Salvation through Christ is for everyone. We can all work for justice and then Salvation through Christ will be manifest in our homes and everywhere.

Evangelio: San Mateo 15,21-28

 

 

La liturgia de este domingo la podríamos resumir en una frase: “Cristo vino para salvar a todos los hombres y mujeres de nuestra humanidad.”

Tanto el mensaje como el testimonio de la vida de Cristo son comprensibles para todos los hombres y mujeres de buena voluntad.

Hablando de Cristo, el profeta Isaías dice a su pueblo: “Velen por los derechos de los demás, practiquen la justicia, porque mi salvación está a punto de llegar y mi justicia a punto de manifestarse.”

Cristo vino a nuestro mundo para revelarnos la imagen de Dios. La imagen de Dios se manifiesta en el respeto y en la práctica de la justicia.

La Salvación de la humanidad se basa en el respeto hacia todas las personas, desde su concepción hasta la muerte. La Salvación de la humanidad se fundamenta en la práctica de la justicia en todas las situaciones y en todos los rincones del universo.

Los cristianos, los bautizados, hemos recibido el Espíritu de Dios, el Espíritu Santo para practicar la justicia. Para anunciar a todos los pueblos que la felicidad, la paz y la Salvación de todos serán posible, si nos unimos para trabajar por la justicia y por el respeto de todos.

El Espíritu de Dios que habita en nuestros corazones, ilumina nuestra inteligencia, nos da la fortaleza y energía necesarias para luchar contra toda injusticia; contra toda situación de opresión, de humillación o falta de respeto hacia los demás.

A veces complicamos el mensaje de Cristo, a veces nuestros hermanos y hermanas no comprenden el discurso de la Iglesia. Eso se debe a que a veces nos olvidamos de hablar de la justicia y del  respeto  hacia los demás.

La enfermedad que destruye nuestra humanidad y el mal que arrasa con muchas familias, pueblos y  naciones es la injusticia.

Si nos detenemos a reflexionar sobre las divisiones en nuestras familias, sobre los conflictos entre los pueblos y sobre las guerras entre las naciones, vamos a descubrir que el origen de todo ello, es la injusticia o la falta de respeto de los derechos del otro.

Nuestras familias, nuestras comunidades, nuestros pueblos, nuestras naciones, nuestra humanidad necesitan reconciliación, perdón, paz. Sin embargo, no los obtendremos si no trabajamos con todos los hombres y mujeres de buena voluntad, en la construcción de un mundo, en el cual la justicia sea la bandera que nos reúna.

Oremos en esta Eucaristía, para que todos los cristianos comprendan que la Salvación, que Cristo nos propone, y el Reino de Dios que esperamos, se manifestarán cuando todos nos comprometamos a respetar a los demás y a permitir que la justicia reine en medio de nosotros.

Dejémonos iluminar por la Palabra de Dios. Fortalezcamos nuestra fe en la Mesa Eucarística para evitar toda injusticia alrededor de nosotros.

Invitemos a todos nuestros amigos y personas que conozcamos, creyentes o no, a trabajar por la justicia en nuestro mundo. De esa manera seremos todos discípulos de Cristo, obreros de paz y de fraternidad.

La Salvación que Cristo nos propone está al alcance de todos. Trabajemos por la justicia para que la Salvación de Dios se manifieste en nuestros hogares y en todos nuestros países.
